Recommendations were made after reviewing rider data compiled by the drivers and verifying completion times and mileage. Routes 2, 3 and 4 would be affected. TAC voted to support the adjustments. Selectmen approval is also required and TAC will present the route proposal at the Selectmen's meeting on April 23. Patriots Parade Gail asked for volunteers to assist with the annual Patriots Parade which teams Lexpress and the Senior Center as parade participants. Sara, Sally and Francine volunteered to assist. Bus Design Reid Zurlo who assisted TAC in color selection is unable to assist with bus design. Sara subsequently recruited Lili Silvera. Color selection was tied to Reid's exterior design scheme. In the absence of Reid's design vision, concern for the color selection was raised. Gail contacted Joseph's Transportation as to the possibility of a new color selection based on the manufacturer's schedule and an answer is pending. Lexpress Stabilization Fund It is anticipated that the Stabilization fund creation will be raised at Town Meeting on April 23. Rob Addelson will meet with TAC members to review wording of the Stabilization Article and to answer questions. Lexington School's Bus Service The school's bus contract has yet to be finalized. A student rate increase of$50 for annual bus service is anticipated and will bring the cost to $450. As a result, TAC will review the General Lexpress pass fees that were raised to $300 last year. Because of pending contract, the annual school transportation mailing is on hold. As an alternative method of parental communication, Gail is to explore the possibility of including Lexpress updates in the high school parents' newsletter. Reading, MA Transit Proposal Reading is submitting a suburban transit proposal for a pilot community bus service. Lexpress input as to route formulation has been requested. Sara volunteered to serve as a TAC contact. Next Meeting: May 10, 2007, 7pm, Cary Memorial Hall, Legion Room (second floor) Prepared by: Gail Wagner
