Members’ concerns.
Jim Shaw was travelling in France with a Lexington group on September 8, 2011
when committee elections were scheduled. He expressed disappointment this
evening that his name had not been placed in nomination for the vice chair
office despite his e-mail request to do so. During committee discussion, it was
clarified that while intending to send his e-mail to the entire group, Jim
inadvertently sent it to the chair only. The chair, whose policy it is not to make
any nominations, assumed that the group had received Jim’s message and chose
not to act on it. The committee expressed regret at this unfortunate
misunderstanding and encouraged him to step forward again next year.
Veterans’ Day 2011
Suzie has received all approvals for Veterans’ Day but one; she is still waiting for

The essay contest appeared in today’s Minuteman. Mary Gillespie sent notices

veterans at the green.
