Re: Design Advisory Committee
Dear Dr. Clarke:
At the annual meeting of the Design Advisory Group on July 10, 1974,
Richard Magnuson was nominated to replace Kenneth Kretuziger, whose
term on the Design Advisory Committee has expired. Mr. Magnuson's
nomination is submitted for your approval.
John Davies has agreed to serve as chairman for the current year.
At our meeting, we discussed how the group as a whole could better
serve the Planning Board. It was suggested that one member of the
group could be designated to directly assist the Planning Board members
with their assumed responsibilities for special project areas for the
year, e.g. wetland zoning, recreation study, street standards, etc.
The member from the Design Advisory Group would be determined from a
survey of D.A.G. members who showed interest for that area of activity.
The best time for the survey was determined to be just after Labor Day.
There was general agreement that it would be necessary for the Planning
Board member to take the initiative under such an arrangement, thereby
providing the framework within which the D.A.G. professional could pro-
vide technical expertise.
