Victoria Buckley, Jennifer Aliber and DPW to fr .d S F r meet next week at the Fire Station to try to assess the existing conditions and possible solutions. 7ohnmis, ton Standing: The members of Town Meeting are going to consider making the ' isEnablement Committee into an Enablement Commission. Victoria Buckley has already presented to the Board of Selectmen. Although most members were supportive, Dawn McKenna abstained stating that she did not have enough information. Advantages of Commission status include a more formal and recognized position in the town, ability to after grants directly and independently, and the ability to accept gifts on behalf of the Town. In some other communities, a percentage of monies collected from fines are used to enhance efforts to promote accessibility. Votes on these issues tentatively scheduled for mid - April. Additional Goalsfor the New Year: Signage in public buildings might be a good candidate for the list of items to be considered. Next Meeting: 7 May 2003
