Complaint process
it was noted that the Committee was lacking a procedure for the processing of complaints. Different areas,
e.g. town/business,need to be assigned as responsibilities to different members of the committee
Committee should track its successful accomplishments.
Sue Cusack opted for the comunittee helping to create a culture in the town that would be responsive to
people s needs, also stressed the importance of working within the ADA mandate
Sue Cusack discussed how she had handled problem of LABB kids having accidents following snowstorm
due to lack of accessibility This led to an action program being developed.
Comprehensive planning
Steve Baran suggested there be a liaison from each major department to assist in troubleshooting.
An overall strategic plan is needed for parking, curb cuts and other items:What happened yesterday? What
may happen in the future?Formation of coalitions is useful for getting things done.
ADA Coordinator
Committee members should be part of process of hiring.
