Next Meeting: Thursday August 30 2001 at 1.30 p.m.
Steve's client needs renovation of ground floor to make it wheelchair accessible; Bob is advising
on plans. Habitat for Humanity and MinutemanRegional Vocational Technical School were cited
as potential resources. Steve is investigating the VA.
Creating videotape to make interiors of historic homes accessible to visitors — Steve checking
with Rick Safford and Historical Society
Curb cuts — Mass. Ave. and Clark St. — Steve.
Lexpress — lift on chair car accessible only to people in wheelchairs, front step more than 11
Steve to check out regs. Jill.
Recreational fees — reduction for disabled Pam Varrin advised for Recreation Committee that
disability by itself does not automatically indicate inability to pay Recreation Committee is
interested in accessibility including financial accessibility For further discussion
