Ch.rissy Mania was a 1992 graduate of Lexin ton Fligh School acid a 1996 graduate of Losto.n
College. She was tragically0ed in the spring o 1997 bya dj driver. & a tribute to Cluissy, her
faaWyand friends have established a scholarship in her niempry.
The folloNving arc the conditions that should prevail:
I. The Trustees will hold and invest the funds as part of the cormnon trust funds adrrinistered by
thern for the Town of Lexmi gton. The award shall be known as The Christine Martin Memorial
Scholarship.
2. The aware! shall be gi-,- n to a senior of Lexington High School who ply to pursue a career
working with children in w . capacity:
3. The recipient should have a history of volunteer Rork and/or be active in the fight to pruvent
,arualang and driving.
4. Applications for this award shall be made through the loccl scholarship program at 1 ex4ngtcn
High School on their successor organization.
5. The conunittee to choose the recipient shall (initially) consist of Kristin Fishcr, IvLtrtha
Daileanes- Sevigny, ATichelle Lahiff, Adrienne Santamaria- Ortyl, Sandra Cornier and Douglas
Lucente. At any tirne, they may chmge t:re nuk-eup of the committee or choosing emit) by
notifying t<hc Trustees of Public Trusts,
6. The scholarship awarded shall be up to a maximum, of th - ex-fourths of the ne- income of the
fund-,the rernauzing income and all capital gains shall be added to the principal.
7. If in any year, no student applies or no qualified srudent _, chosen, the anu.)unt of the award
shall be added to principal.
