Tim Johnson joined the council. He represents fire prevention and education
programming accessed through the fire department or DA's office referral
system. Specialized training in fire safety is then provided to the identified
juvenile and family Tim described the neediness of these youngsters and the
importance of this service.
Welcome, Tim.
A youth mental health issue and the community response were discussed.
This became the connection to the following discussion.
Much discussion about the role of th,e council occurred. The town is rich in
resources among the civic segments, ih8`churches, schools, and others.
However this resource information is not readily accessible to all members
of the community Through its work with the private practitioners, the
council subcommittee is identifying more resources. The council through
Becky's role is an opportunity to centralize and update the various
community resources and make them available to community members.
There was continued discussion of the school based services lost through the
grant and the school's reorganization of the Health and Wellness programs
