map 30 lot 66Christopher Velis presented the new roofing material Certainteed Landmark
LT in Moiré Black. The Commission voted 5-0 to issue a certificate of appropriateness to strip and re-roof the home.

map 56 lot 57: Daniel Abramson presented two pages of photographs showing where storm windows
will be placed and a copy of the contract with product description. The installation of these storm windows will match the
existing storm windows. The Commission voted 5-0 to issue a certificate of appropriateness for the addition of seven (7)

map 56 lot 23: Mark Bradshaw presented a packet for two (2) Air Conditioning Condensers with
detailed product information and proposed location. He also presented a computer generated packet showing different
color choices for the entire house. There are color samples on the house which the commissioners will go look at before
giving final approval on Mr. Bradshaw’s preferred color. The preferred color choice is the Sherwin Williams Needlepoint
Navy: body, Super White trim, and Tricorn Black: sash, doors, and shutters. The Commission voted 5-0 to issue a
certificate of appropriateness for two (2) Air Conditioner Condensers.

map 36 lot 35: Mia Shapiro presented a packet Proposal for Paving Driveway with description of
process, pictures of existing conditions, neighborhood driveways, and plot plan showing layout of new driveway. The
Commission voted 5-0 to issue a certificate of appropriateness for changing the layout and materials for the driveway.

map 49 lot 42: Gerry Frank, Bechtel Frank Erickson Architects, presented construction drawings dated
September 2, 2010 for changing the landing of the front porch, the addition of an accessible ramp on left side of building,
and window changes. The Commission voted 5-0 to issue a certificate of appropriateness for an accessible ramp on left
side of building, raising the platform of the front porch, and window changes.

map 48 lot 16: Luis Melendez, presented a written summary entitled “Request to change the
exterior paint color of 1556 Mass Ave” date 9/2/10, and a sample page of the different paint colors desired on the house.
The information presented was based on a preliminary report done by preservation consultant Sarah Chase. The
Commission voted 5-0 to issue a certificate of appropriateness for color change.

map 57 lot 14A Eric Brown, presented design plans entitled “Proposed Pylon Design-June 10, 2010”.
This free standing sign will be placed on Bedford Street. This will be a directory sign with a space for each tenant. They
received the appropriate variance from the Board of Appeals in July 2010. The Commission voted 5-0 to issue a
certificate of appropriateness for a freestanding sign.

Changes to their home. Fix up the rear deck, roofing, windows, skylight; re-surface front path, and driveway.

(parking signs).

OTHER BUSINESS
As part of being a Certified Local Government, the Lexington Historic District and Historical Commissions must meet
together once annually. That meeting will be held before the Historical Commissions’ regularly scheduled hearing
Thursday September 16, 2010.
