PETITIONS HEARD:
FORMAL HEARINGS
955 Massachusetts Avenue
, map 22 Lot 11, -Joanne Gschwendtner, representing, Lynne &
Joseph Welch, received approval by of vote of 5-0 for changes to the front and side entry doors,
shutters on the main body of house and exterior lighting. A packet showing the cut sheets of
doors, shutters, and lighting was presented. Certificate No 2010C-26. Chairman Joseph Welch
recued himself.
Voting Commissioners were: Acting Chairman Daniel Griffin, and Associate Commissioners
Carl Oldenburg, Marily Fenollosa, Scott Kyle and Barbara Feldman
505 Massachusetts Avenue Unit # 9:
1 map 48 lot 275 unit 9 – Robert Sullivan, representing,
Joseph Walsh, received approval by of vote of 5-0 to rebuild rear deck using Azeck decking and
railing caps along with Cedar Balusters. The Stair leading to the lawn will be removed, and the
deck will be painted to match the house. An elevation of the deck and a sample of the decking
material were submitted. Certificate No. 2010C-27

6 Bruce Road
map 14 lot1C- David and Anne Nuss received approval by a vote of 5-0 to
replace front steps with granite and extend railing. Photographs of the existing condition,
drawing of stairs and a cut sheet of railing were presented. The commission requested the
applicants provide a few more details to the HDC clerk for the file. Certificate No. 2010C-28

CONTINUED HEARINGS
46 Bedford Street
map 57 lot 14A- Jamie Kelley, representing, Dan Yu, received approval by a
vote of 5-0 to relocate a utility pole currently near drive thru back to the berm, thus eliminating a
transformer. Certificate No. 2010C-29. Dan Yu discussed the location and size of a freestanding
sign. They will try different locations on the corner of Bedford Street and Worthern Road and
re-present. This Hearing remains open until the project is complete.

map 48 lot 169 - Patrick Goddard, Lexington Public Facilities,
requested the hearing for exterior lighting be continued until July 2010

45 Bedford Street,
map57 lot 144- Shawn Newell, Facilities Department, Town of Lexington,
presented a Laundry room vent on the back side of fire station. He is ready for a formal
18 Muzzey Street,
map 49 lot 42- Gerry Frank, Architect, presented ideas for an accessible ramp
to the side of the building and changing front porch. They will present formally in a few months.
1038 Massachusetts Avenue,
map 30 lot 74- William and Ann Fisher presented plans for a
retaining wall. They are ready for a formal.
19 Hancock Street,
map 56 lot 54- Doug Wilson presented plans for replacing a metal window
with wood. The commission gave Mr. Wilson the names of few more places to investigate for a
metal window before he presents the wood. Mr. Wilson also ran the idea of changing roofing
material from tile to shingle and the commission wanted him to keep the tile. He will present in
a few months.
1963 Massachusetts Avenue,
map 57 lot 7- Lynn Hopkins, presenting ideas for changes to front
porch, creating rear porch, terrace on the back, roofing material, windows, skylights, and other
exterior changes. They are ready for a formal.
926 Massachusetts Avenue
, map 22 lot 81 Unit 2- Colin Smith, presented plans for a rear
addition and possible accessible ramp. They are ready for a formal

Upon motion duly made and seconded it was voted 5-0 to adjourn the meeting at 9:30PM
