Certificate No. 2010C-16 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman, Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner Carl Oldenburg CONTINUED HEARINGS 1536 Massachusetts Avenue : map 48 lot 15Jon Wardwell received approval for Exterior Architectural Change (rear addition). Certificate No. 2010C-17 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman, Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner Carl Oldenburg 1475 Massachusetts Avenue map48 lot276: Gloria Holland, representing Muzzey Condominium Association, regarding a building wide window policy. Ms Holland updated the commission on the timeline for replacing windows. Chairman Joseph Welch will issue a letter stating the Commissions support of these efforts. 46 Bedford Street : map57 lot 14AEric Brown, representing, Dan Yu, received approval for Exterior Architectural Change (lighting, mechanical roof units, fabric for banners) Certificate No. 2010C-18 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman, Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Daniel Griffin, Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer 1625 MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE • LEXINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS 02420 Minutes of April 1, 2010 INFORMALS 6 Meriam Street map56 lot 62: David Archambault, Network Building & Consulting, LLC, presented plans for removal of an AC condenser and the addition of two vents on the steeple for cooling communication equipment. This project is ready for a formal 1625 Massachusetts Avenue map 48 lot 169: Patrick Goddard, Lexington Public Facilities, presented plans for exterior lighting on the town hall campus. He is ready for a formal 998 Massachusetts Avenue : map30 lot 81: Patrick Goddard, Lexington Public Facilities, updated the commission on in kind painting and trim repair that is going on at the East Lexington Fire Station 1875 Massachusetts Avenue map 49 lot 4A: Patrick Goddard, Lexington Public Facilities, updated the commission on in kind painting and trim repair that is going on at the Visitors Center. 1780 Massachusetts Avenue map 49 lot 37B: Scott Armstrong, representing, Michelson’s Shoe’s presented plans for in kind replacement of store front window and sash. Mr. Armstrong does not need a Certificate of Appropriateness because this will be an exact replacement. 1993 Massachusetts Avenue map 57 lot 9B: Patrick Carroll, presented his idea for removing the shed additions and moving the main block of the house in font of St., Bridget’s Church to the lot at 35 Hancock Street. Mr. Carroll, also plans on constructing an addition once the house is moved. The commission felt that Mr. Carroll was heading in the proper direction and he should proceed with informal drawings of what he hopes the house will look like with the additions. The commission also suggested that he speak with the abutters of 35 Hancock Street regarding his plans. Mr. Carroll indicated that he has spoken with the abutters about his plan and a few of the abutters were in the audience. 26 Hancock Street map 56 lot 23: Prospective buyers were looking into the process of replacing windows. The commission said that they really should take a good look into restoring these windows before contemplating replacement. The presenters were receptive to the information and we may be seeing them soon for color change. OTHER BUSINESS Associate Commissioner Marilyn Fennollsa spoke about the new website for the Historical Commission. This site has the Cultural Resource Survey, historical maps, and town of Lexington History.
