HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-02-05-HDC-Min Town of Lexington Historic Districts Commission MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 5, 2009 Commissioners present: Chairman Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross, and Robert Warshawer Also present were Associate Commissioners: Carl Oldenburg and Marilyn Fenollosa Department Clerk Amy Casparius Absent were: Commissioner Daniel Griffin Jr., and Associate Commissioner: Scott Kyle PETITIONS HEARD: FORMAL HEARINGS 1 Harrington Road map 56 lot 1A – Peter Chalpin, representing, Joann Gschwendtner received approval for exterior architectural change (garage roof) Certificate No. 2009C-5 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner: Carl Oldenburg 822-824 Massachusetts Avenue map 22 lot 72 -Betsy Baxter, Representing Elizabeth Alan Condominium, received approval for exterior architectural change (new roof). Certificate No. 2009C-6 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner: Carl Oldenburg  1625, 1605, 1575 & 1006 Massachusetts Avenue map 48 Lot 169- Michael Flaherty, Russo Barr Associates, representing, Town of Lexington, received approval for exterior architectural . change (installing new storm widows and paint touch up). Certificate No2009C-7 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner: Carl Oldenburg 11 Hancock Street map 56 lot 57 - Daniel Abramson, received approval for exterior architectural change (chimney cap). Certificate No. 2009C-8 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner: Carl Oldenburg 1794 Massachusetts Avenue map 49 lot 38 – Peter Siy, representing Lexington Flicks, received approval for exterior architectural change (three new rear doors). Certificate No. 2009C-10 Voting Commissioners were: Chairman Joseph Welch, Alfonso Hernandez, Paul Ross and Robert Warshawer and Associate Commissioner: Carl Oldenburg CONTINUED HEARINGS 1444 Massachusetts Avenue map 40 lot 32- Ronald Wallace, Exterior Architectural Change (replacing the front side entrance with a window.) Mr. Wallace requested prior to the hearing to be continued. INFORMALS 5A Eliot Road map 39 lot 23A: presented plans for addition Jeanne Krieger: presented preliminary ideas for solar panels at town buildings 14 Muzzey Street map 49 lot 40A: Raychel Greenwald, representing, Jeannie Redmond, Jvia Designs presented plans for signage. Ms. Greenwald did not appear at the meeting OTHER BUSINESS A citizen petition has been put on the town warrant to extend the Battle Green District to include Parker Street and Jackson Court. The initiator has not informed commission or asked for any support at this time.
