Meeting minutes for March 16, March 3, February 6 & January 26 were approved.
UPDATES.
• BANNER. Town Celebrations has offered to have a 300th Anniversary
celebration banner for the Patriot's Day parade
• LOGO DECAL. Thought for an oval shaped decal similar to those seen on
automobiles (Nantucket, etc ) was presented. Support was expressed by
members
• PROGRAMS&EVENTS
• COORDINATORS With 3 major event weekends (opening, corporation,
closing0 — questions were raised on how the programs/events should be
coordinated—with a sole event coordinator or multiple coordinators with
assistants/backups Consensus was to have multiples with assistants so to
spread the responsibilities and provide for overlap/backup
• INCORPORATION WEEKEND—Weekend of March 16/17, 2013 identified
as Incorporation Weekend
• VENUES-must be identified, reserved & scheduled
• MEMENTOS.
• Pole banners— check with Eric Carlson— sponsors/fees9
• Decals
• Pins—Jessie Steigerwald working with vendor for payment procedures
through Donna Hooper
• PUBLICITY Check with Denise Dube—for possible Article for Colonial
Times—June 20119
• FENN AWARD—Donna Hooper explained opportunity for the Lexington 300th
Anniversary Committee to collaborate with the Town Clerk's Office for a
point proposal to the Fenn Award Committee to create a presentation piece
showing the 2 Town Seals and 3 votes of the Massachusetts Legislature re
precinct, first parish & incorporation. Unanimous support of Committee
expressed.

• LOGO USE&PROMOTION-Donna with seek clarification on
trademark/copyright needs & importance
• PINS-Logo pins have been ordered—distribution/cost will be pursued
• WEB SITE-Committee voted unanimously to work with Harry Forsdick for
web site design, for which a $3,000 transfer to the Lexington 300th account
has been committed to by the Finance Director& Town Manager
• NEW BUSINESS- Committee needs to identify necessary funds, possible fees,
income generators for the celebration. Examples
• SYMPHONY/POPS-regular programming, complimentary
events/fees, self sustaining, others with cost/defer costs through
fundraising
• SANCTIONED/SPONSORED OR SUPPORTER/SPONSOR?
• FUNDRAISERS-banners, display piece, fashion show, corporate
sponsors, sanctioning list
• CALENDAR-all events treated the same, making no distinction
between sanctioned/supporter Distinctions made on separate
listing
