Meeting of June 24, 2010
Town Office Building – Room 111
Present: Luanna Devenis [R], Chairman; Sarah Warren [D]; Jean Barrett [R];
Donna Hooper [U].
Chairman Luanna Devenis called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.
Meeting Minutes

Sarah Warren moved to approve minutes of June 16, 2009 & January 30, 2010.
Unanimously Approved.
Board Chairmanship
: Sarah Warren moved Luanna Devenis be elected Chairman.

Unanimously Adopted.
Election Officers
: Donna Hooper distributed listing of interested person to be
o
appointed as Election Officer for the upcoming year, and reviewed procedures and
changes in election officer rolls. Following some brief discussion Sarah Warren
moved:
MOTION
: That the Registrars approve the list of Election Officers as submitted.
Unanimously Adopted.
Assistant Registrars
: Donna Hooper explained long standing policy of appointing

staff persons of the Town Clerk’s Office as Assistant Registrar to act in the capacity
for the certification of signatures, processing of census responses, voter registration
processing.
MOTION:
To approveTown Clerk’s Office staff Dianne Snell, Lisa Maguire,
Carmelina Fiore, Karen Kruger & Nasrin Rohani as Assistant Registrars, for a
period of 1 year; an authorize use of Board of Registrar signature stamps.
Unanimously Adopted.
General Discussion:

Fall election schedule – September 14 Primary, November 2 State
o
Election; voter registration sessions for August 25 & October 13
2010 List of Residents and Town Clerk’s Office continuation to reach out
o
to newly turned 18 year olds for voter registration
2010 Federal census, future redistricting, reprecincting, . Also reviewed
o
were fall elections
