Board of Registrar Meeting of
July 7, 2006 – 9:30 a.m.
Minutes
Chairman Luanna Devenis called the meeting to order at 9:30 p.m.
Present: Luanna Devenis [R], Chairman; Ann Miller [R]; Gerald L. Abegg [D]; Donna Hooper
[U], Clerk
The Board voted unanimously to approve the meeting minutes of June 23, 2005.
Election officer appointment process and recommendations for officer appointment were
discussed. The Board reviewed the current listing of election officers with added names
from recommendations received from the Town Committees and voted unanimously to
recommend the list as presented to the Board of Selectmen. Listing totals 177 registered
voters, comprised of 28 Republican, 73 Democrat, and 76 Unenrolled voters.
Assistant Registrars – The Board voted unanimously to appoint Jean Coates, Marlene Doyle,
Carmelina Fiore and Lori Manning of the Town Clerk’s Office as Assistant Registrars in
accordance with MGL c. 51 §22.
Town Clerk Donna Hooper summarized election legislation pending, issuance of the Annual
List of Residents, voter inactivation postcard notices, and the Fall 2006 election calendar.
New Business:
Brief discussion was had on Board of Registrar and Election Officer stipends

2006-2007 potential Proposition 2 ½ override voting

Voter Registration activities and outreach at Lexington High School
o
Meeting adjourned approximately 10:25 a.m.
