Ying Huang, Albert Zabin, Melissa Buttaro, Emily Lavine, and Deborah Jackson
Meeting at RmI l — Town Hall was called to order at 8:OOAM
The discussion focused on the following programs:
Town wide programs that are not exclusive for kids. Such as black history exhibit
and Lexington Read at the library, theme movies at Lexington Flick, and film
series to show Lexington's progress on diversity and human rights such as
moving from restricted housing to open housing and the 1972 town election that
changed Lexington from being conservative to liberal. Programs that reinforce
the value of Lexington, and to bring in broader base of town residents (silent
majority).
• A series of films that show the 50 years of change on national, town of Lexington
and individual level. There is a 45 min film on Carry Hall, and local merchants
such as Michelson's may have stories and period pictures to share.
• Record oral history on change in Lexington on diversity and human rights.
We will recruit local talents and enlist Leximedia and LHS TV Production team for the
projects. Committee
