Staff: Aaron Henry, Senior Planner Absent: George Burnell, Deb Mauger Minutes The Task Force approved the minutes of October 27, November 3, and November 16 Neighborhood Meeting Recap Task Force members discussed their individual impressions of the neighborhood meeting of November 16 Ms. Manz felt that the concerns focused on the overall appearance and the proposed density of the development (and its traffic implications) Mr Bicknell agreed, but wasn't sure that the existing structure was as important at the end of the night as it seemed at the beginning. He felt that the site could hold six units and not disturb the area. Ms. Weiss reiterated her position that the existing structure should be preserved and agreed that six units seemed appropriate. Mr Savage heard all of the above, and thought the neighbors softened as the night went on. He wondered what implications this might have on the process. Mr Keane thought that they should request clarification from the Selectmen on how much flexibility,if any, there may be regarding the existing structure. Ms. Manz voiced concern that the "historic" element is problematic and no longer supports retaining the structure, despite any further input that may be provided. Ms. Weiss thinks a meeting of the Selectmen, Historical Commission, and the Task Force to talk about the house is in order She continued that an RFP that allowed respondents the flexibility of preservation was appropriate. It was agreed that the Task Force would solicit clarification from the BOS on their vote concerning the Capital Improvement Program request, specifically if preservation could be included, provided none of the CIP funds were used on preservation. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 10.00 AM. The next Task Force meeting is Wednesday, December 15, at 8 30 AM, location TBD
