Date, Time and Location of Meeting: Room 221, Public Service Building, Bedford Street 6:00 PM February 10, 2010 These minutes of the February meeting were approved by a quorum of the ECC members in attendance. In attendance: Steve Kropper, Chair Shawn Newell, Assistant Director, Public Facilities Bill Hadley, Director, Department of Public Works Christopher Haines Prabir Maulik Joe Musacchia, Secretary Visiting none Absent: Pat Goddard, Director, Department of Public Facilities Paul Chernick Tom Griffiths, Member Ravi Sakhuja Hank Manz, Liaison to Board of Selectmen Jeff Nestel-Patt Roger Borghsani Beth Zonis, Eco Marketing LLC Anthony Galaitsis This was an abbreviated meeting due to inclement weather conditions and the need for Public Facilities staff to handle on-call staff issues. Fitch Fuel Catalyst There was a discussion of the efficiency of the Fitch fuel catalyst and its potential utility. While it was noted that there were claims of 9- 20% in fuel savings, actual savings were anticipated in the 8-10% range. The Public Facilities group has questions about the methods of achieving these savings and is not ready to work with this system yet. League of Women Voters The League of Women Voters is prepared to support women sponsored energy conservation projects.
