Anna: It differs depending on content teams — as a school we have come a long way in the last 3 or 4 years — we are on the right path — it's a perfect time for us — people are ready — they know it's coming — they want to hear about what we learned in Vail — we've been discussing as a group how much information we can give without overwhelming people — our faculty on the whole is really ready — change is hard and change tales time, but Steve has done a great job of knowing when to push they're ready for the next step Michelle — we've been working for the last three years on creating common assessments and most groups are very comfortable doing that and are having conversations about the results — now we are ready for the next step — what do we do next? How do we analyze it and use it? George: Then you get to the point when what you collect is what the users need Michelle: It's a really exciting time — people are asking what's next Kristen — and we have new staff too so we need to have those conversations — we have to really talk about what do we do when two or three kids fail a test that everyone else passes — we don't want to just move on and let them slip through the cracks Conversations continues about "real time data" III. Anna read goal #2 a. Reviews implementation steps beginning with anti - bullying — explains we've always taken it very seriously so the new protocol won't look much different — talks about the bystanders and educating them to have the confidence to stand up and /or tell an adult i. Reviewed Rachel's Challenge — asked parents their reactions and their kids' reactions — reviewed things that have happened since the assembly — thank you cards, human chain, chain link club ii. Urban Improv - January iii. Through Storytelling - March iv. Pennies for Peace — Tied in with Three Cups of Tea — February Lorelle: Question — sign from parking area to curb — should be a crosswalk sign and a painted cross walk — kids come out of path — it's like playing chicken Lisa: There was talk of a cross walk Anna: Meeting of Sidewalk committee coming up — we've been discussing the creation of a sidewalk and widening that area for the busses — ok — "I'll look into that." George: Do you have a handle on how many kids walk vs. getting dropped off, etc.? Anna: No not really — we have bus lists — afternoon less kids are on the busses because of sports and activities, etc. Kristen — Do we know when our next meeting is? Lisa: Is it 4? Anna: Yes — say we meet again in January? Then March and June? When we send out the minutes I'll send out some possible dates. Lisa: Are you offering homework help again? Anna: Yes — I have to check with guidance to see if/when they're starting it up. Dina: Question about Teacher Web — teachers are using it differently — some are just writing see your assignment notebook. Anna: Our expectation is that the assignments are posted for the week. Lorelle: Is it a matter of teacher comfort level with technology? Anna: Team Leaders should be posting it for the team. Meeting adjourned at 3:55
