BLUPC members in attendance Bill Dailey, Ric Fulop (arr 8 00 p m.), David Horton,
Ginna Johnson, Pam Shadley, Deborah Strod, and Al Zabin
7 00 p m. —Welcome and presentation to audience of the guidelines for the forum
7 05 p m. — Joyce Miller of the Conservation Commission described bylaws that affect
the use of the land, i.e , setbacks due to water resources, the 200 ft buffer along Munroe
Brook and the 100 ft buffer along the Arlington Reservoir
7 10 p m. — Concept proposals were presented by the following groups
- Lexington Community Farm Coalition (Janet Kern, et al)
- Lexington Housing Partnership (Chris Kluchman, et al)
- Lexington Recreation Committee (Rick Deangelis, et al)
Brief Summary of Concept Proposals
- Lexington Community Farm Coalition. A professionally managed, working,
community supported agriculture (CSA) farm with educational programs, pick-your-
own program, food donations to low-income families and individuals, trails and
walking paths
- Lexington Housing Partnership 10-14 housing units (two multi-family buildings)
with 27 parking spaces, soccer/lacrosse field, and remaining land available for
community farm and shared parking
- Lexington Recreation Committee Multi-sport field with 47 parking spaces,
children's play areas, recreation trail, and remaining land for housing and/or
community gardens (not farming)
