Minutes for Meeting April 12, 2010
Cary Memorial Library
Present: Perry-Wood, Chair; Victoria Campos, Recording Secretary; Sirarpi Heghinian Walzser;
Jan Goplerud; Marilyn Kolb, Treasurer; Chris Kyle
Absent: Jonathan Cue; Jackie Hawkinson
Call to Order:
Zoe Perry Wood called the meeting to order at 7:05PM.
Secretary's Report
The minutes for the March ‘09 meeting were unavailable and to be accepted at the next
meeting.
Treasurer's Report
Marilyn Kolb’s Treasure’s report was accepted. We have a balance of $7877 in our account.
5K is dedicated to the library project. 2175$ available to us. $200 in interest earnings. $1855 in
Patron’s Fund.
Topics discussed tonight:
New members to be sought by the fall. ZPW offered for discussion “Guidelines for Civil
Discourse” to guide us in future interactions. Disc. re how to manage listening.
Criticism of Munroe Center for the Arts in recent press, and in particular, 2009 “Open
Studios.” As a major funder of MCA’s Open Studios in ’09 and 10, we moved to write a
letter of support for Open Studios and possibly tie in the other organizations and
individuals we funded. Sirarpi abstained, and her name should not appear on the letter.
Decided to postpone our participation in Discovery Day until next year.
Need for a sub-committee to oversee the development of our website plans, set up a
timeline, write up an RFP. The Website Sub-committee: Chris, Jan, Zoe, Jackie.

Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM. The next meeting will be May 10,
2010 at 7:00 PM in Cary Memorial Library. Zoe Perry-Wood will chair this meeting.
