The Lexington 300th Anniversary Celebration Committee met at 10 30 a.m., Monday,
May 17, 2010 in Room 111, Town Office Building., 1625 Massachusetts Ave
Points Discussed.
Suzie Barry, Chair, Town Celebrations Committee updated the Committee on the status
of the participation in the 300th Anniversary celebration by the following:
YES - Jessie Steigerwald- schools
TENTATIVE - Van Seasholes, Denise Dube, Alan Wrigley
NO - Jerry Michelson
Lexington 300th Anniversary Celebration Incorporation. Donna Hooper confirmed
Alan Wrigley has agreed to handle filing to obtain 501 [c] [3] private non-profit status.
Suggested Officers:
President: Susan Rockwell
Vice President: Richard Kollen
Treasurer Alan Wrigley [?]
Clerk: Donna Hooper

The website can be set up within the structure of the Town's current web site
Logo: Sue Rockwell will work with Susan Bennett [Lexington Historical Society] and
Jean Hart, Interim Executive Director at the Lexington Arts& Crafts Society to identify
options for developing a 300th Anniversary Celebration Logo
Fundraising:
What is total amount of funding needed?
How much did the bicentennial celebration of 1975 cost?
What was cost of Last Nite 2000?
It is rumored that Concord is spending $60,000, Needham 300th in 2011 is anticipating
a cost of$500,000,
Possible individuals who might lead the initiative - Dawn McKenna, Kerry Brandin-
Cindy Savage to pursue
Community Organization Letter Outreach to organizations to inquire how and in
what way they may participate, followed with a Fall 2010 meeting to come onboard.
Proposed meeting date is September 21, 2010 at 7 00 p.m. Donna Hooper will schedule
the meeting at best available venue
Draft letter to community organizations was discussed. Sue Rockwell will finalize the
letter and list of contacts from Suzie Barry will be basis for mailing.
Next meeting: Thursday, June 24th - 11 00 a.m. -Town Office Building- Room 111
