Suzie Barry called the meeting to order at 7:25 pm.
Minutes of the January 13, 2010 meeting were read and approved.
Patriots’ Day 2010
Suzie met with Wayne Brooks and David Pinsonneault at the DPW to discuss sound
issues at the reenactment. They will consider redirecting the speakers for better
projection.
Floats

The float workshop meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27, in Town
Hall Room 207 at 7:30 pm. Eighty float applications were mailed; the workshop
meeting notice will be posted on the town and The Lexington Minuteman
websites and in The Colonial Times.

Regarding truck use, Suzie asked that calls be made prior to the January 27
meeting to local companies asking if they would be willing to donate use of their
flatbeds (and a driver) to transport floats at the afternoon parade.
Parade groups
Immaculate Heart of Mary marching band asked to rejoin the parade after a long
absence. Bob Tracey made a motion to accept their application, which was
unanimously accepted, at a fee of $1,500.
The Red Hot Soul Sisters Lawn Chair Brigade of Bedford has asked to participate
in the parade. Suzie will call them to get more details.
Fitzgerald Award
Bill Mix will call Billie Fitzgerald to tell her the names of this year’s award recipients.
An all-inclusive department parade planning meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,
February 24, 2010, Selectmen’s meeting room at 9:30 am. All stakeholders in the parade
are invited to attend.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 pm.
