The DAC reviewed the proposed modifications to existing sign on the property and had the following

appears to need repair
2. No internally illuminated signs on canopy
3. No clouds on canopy, looks like to busy and too much like a billboard

fewer colors if possible. Eliminate one of the white bands.

Re: 440 Bedford Street, Margarita’s Restaurant, Lexington, MA
Modification to previously approved special permit
At its regular meeting on December 2, 2009 the DAC reviewed and discussed the building color
modifications with the applicant. The DAC recommended and the applicant agreed on a color pallet
that would comply with the approved application. At the DAC’s request the applicant agreed to
provide three color samples on the building for DAC review and approval. The DAC reviewed these
sample colors and agreed that sample number three know as Totally Tan is the recommended color for
the body of the building. Additionally the DAC recommended to the applicant that the current blue
banding on the building be repainted either a darker blue color to better match the existing window
frame components or a darker tan or brown to complement the recommended building body color. The
applicant agreed to these two options and will provide color samples for final DAC review.
Respectfully submitted,
Timothy D. Lee, ASLA, Chairman
Lexington Design Advisory Committee
