Youth Sunrise Parade 2010
The committee discussed pros and cons of the parade in its present format, including:
Should the parade format not be reorganized, ways to improve upon it were
o
presented.
If the parade format is redone, the committee talked about some of the options
o
that could be implemented.
Ways to engage more of the town’s youth in the parade and day’s events were
o
mentioned. One suggestion was made that the committee could contact the school
department to request that no events be scheduled that day.
A motion was made to keep the morning parade format the same as in the past for
o
April 2010 with plans to revisit the issue of reorganizing it in 2011.
It was unanimously accepted.
Veterans’ Day 2009
All arrangements are made, and we have permission to use Cary Hall in case of rain. Wilson
Farm will once again donate flowers for distribution to veterans at the green; Sally Fisher
volunteered to pick up the flowers.
Patriots’ Day 2010
Visitors from Antony, France will be in Lexington during the holiday. The Sister City
Committee asked that we make 40 tickets to the reenactment available for them.
The meeting adjourned at 8:55 pm.
