CONDOMINIUM CONVERSION BOARD MEETItvG
PURSUANT to ARTICLE XXXIV GENERAL B~'-LAWS
TOWN of LEXINGTON
20 January 1988
The meeting was convened at 7m~5 p.m. in Room 2€~i, Town Office
Building, Lexington, Massachusetts. All members were present.
1. Marjorie Weems was selected as vice-chairperson of the Board
and Nathan Becker was selected as secretary.
~. The chairperson reviewed portions of the authorizing By-Law and
identified some questions of interpretation. Al cabin, the co-author
of the By-Law, joined the meeting and participated in the discussionz
of these questions, Following this discussion it was agreed that ~`
would be appropriate to interpret the word "sold," as it appears in
section 4, paragraph C of the By-Law, as meaning that a purchase and
sale agreement had been entered into with respect-to the unit.
3. Murray Shocket, Esq., addressed the Board regarding the present
circumstances and needs of 'nis clients, the owners of Emerson Gardens
Condominium. After discussion, it was suggested to Mr. Shocket than.
his clients file a blanket application for an eviction license
covering all tenants wha have claimed protected status under the By-
L.aw. The Board agreed that the application would be consideree3 to '~~e
coznplet~ if it contained the names and addresses and classification of
each such tenant and an aff~_davit as to compliance with applicable
state law as to notice. Zt was noted that application fees would ~,e
required at a subsequent time.
4. The next meeting of the Board was scheduled for February 18,
1988.
The meeting adjourned at 9;5C} p.m.
