HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-03-30-PB-min PLANNING BOARD MINUTES MEETING OF MARCH 30, 2005 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board held in Room G-1, Town Office Building, was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Harden with members Manz, Galaitsis, Canale and planning staff McCall-Taylor and Tap present. ******************** ARTICLES FOR 2005 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING ******************* Report to Town Meeting under Article 2; The Board discussed the draft of the report that Mr. Harden would make to Town Meeting under Article 2. Mr. Harden said he would speak about Hanscom, the Center, and inclusionary zoning and would add a paragraph on a mitigation policy. Ms. Manz suggested that he expand the paragraph on Hanscom. Mr. Canale said that there is a reference in the bylaws to an inclusionary housing policy and wondered what happened to the one the Board has. Mr. Harden said that it is not that the Board did not have a policy but that they would explore having an inclusionary requirement within the bylaw. Article 9, Rezone Waltham Street Property: Ms. Manz rehearsed her presentation for the Planning Board on Article 9, Rezone Map 5, Lot 111A, Waltham Street, noting that it reflects changes that Board members suggested at a previous meeting. Article 7, Adoption of the Community Preservation Act: Mr. Canale rehearsed his presentation on Article 7, Adoption of Community Preservation Act. He said that thrust of his statement would be that the townspeople ought to have the opportunity to vote on community preservation act. Article 8, Establishment of Community Preservation Committee: The Board supported this article and will work collaboratively with other groups to establish a committee if the community preservation act passes. On a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. Wendy Manz, Clerk
