HomeMy WebLinkAbout2009-05-06-PB-min PLANNING BOARD MINUTES MEETING OF MAY 6, 2009 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board in the Planning Office, Town Office Building was scheduled for 6:30 p.m. but was unable to be called to order for lack of a quorum. Chairman Hornig, Ms. Manz and planning staff McCall-Taylor and Henry were present. ***********************************TOWN MEETING********************************** At 8:57 Mr. Hornig called the Planning Board to order on the floor of Town Meeting. Members present were Mr. Hornig, Ms. Manz and Mr. Canale. The Board took positions on Articles 6 and 9, which were scheduled to be discussed that evening. On a vote of 3 to 0 the Board voted to recommend favorable action on Article 6, the purchase of the Busa Farm property using Community Preservation Act funds. On a vote of 2 to 1, Mr. Canale and Ms. Manz in favor and Mr. Hornig opposed, the Board voted to recommend favorable action on Article 9, a referendum dealing with Hanscom Field. Mr. Bartenstein proposed an amendment to Article 9 regarding the composition of a study committee to produce a plan for the Busa land. On a motion duly made and seconded, the Board voted 2 to 1 to recommend disapproval of the amendment. Ms. Manz and Mr. Hornig voted to recommend disapproval, while Mr. Canale voted to recommend approval. The Planning Board meeting, on a motion duly made and seconded, was adjourned at the end of the Town Meeting session at 11:10 p.m. Wendy Manz, Clerk
