Minutes for April 16, 2009
Present: William Hays, Donald Wilson, David Eagle, Martha Wood, Gerald Howell,
Lester Savage, William Kemmedy, and Patricia Nelson
Bill is planning to meet with the Selectmen to discuss the Partnership proposal
for affordable home purchases. Must our units remain vacant until new intake
procedures are approved? It will be a loss to the Town if we are campelled
to qualify all units 40B, and if we need to act quickly so we can buy a house
or land when the oppurtunity presents itself.
The minutes back to September were approved.
John Biggins came before the Board to discuss the fact that all our units have
both smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, which are checked twice a year.
The Treasurer's report was approved as read.
Pat Nelson received the CPA money for the three Parker Manor units and paid off
the mortgages.
Bill Kennedy gave a presentation to Town Meeting on our activities for this
past year.
Dan Hill is doing research on Katandin woods, and the question of the rights of
the Town, if the development is converted to condominiums.
Karen Sonneberg was hired as consultant to reshape the intake process with
the Lexington Housing Authority.
Bill Kennedy said the Town is planning to buy Vine Street property, and
approved $10,000 to do a preservation study pf ;and to the right of the house.
Bill Kennedy has received about 60 Applications forOffice MANAGER, and seledted
22 to be reviewed by Dave and Gerry.
Don will cover the Emerson Gardens annual meeting, and Pat Nelson will attend
Muzzey's.
It was agreed to raise CMARC's rent to $1400.00 as of July 1,2009.
Bob Bicknell came to discuss the joint meeting between LexHAB, the Partnership,
and the Selectmen. Bill will arrange the joint meeting.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, May 14.
