Call to order: 7:35 II. January 11, 2021 meeting minutes approved unanimously III. Co-Treasurers' Report: Hema Gandhi and Doug Urban A. Funding for most of the grants awarded in 2020 could be extended due to modifications of the programming. Of the total allocated to FY'20 grants, $1450 will revert back to Council funds due to projects that were planned but could not be completed. B. The total amount available for funding FY'21 grants is $9907. This total includes the allocation from the MCC and the amounts not awarded during FY'20. C. $850 in local money, in addition to town money, can be used for grants or toward a spring/summer public art project D. Hema Gandhi will coordinate town account status with fiscal officer Krista Murphy. IV Determination of FY'21 grant awards A. Application materials from the Panel Book provided by the MCC for the 25 grantees decided upon by the Council were organized into a spreadsheet for the purpose of determining award amounts. The spreadsheet was shared with Council members via email on 2/10/2021. B. Council priorities for funding were reviewed, including impact of funding, perceived benefit to Lexington Community, sources of additional funding, and whether the projects and/or artists are based in Lexington. After much thoughtful discussion and careful consideration, consensus was achieved regarding allocation of funds. The award amounts were recorded in Council records. D. Jillian Tung will inform applicants regarding award amounts responsibilities associated with accepting the awards, instructions for reimbursement, and guidance for crediting MCC and the Council by using logos on promotional materials. V Spring project planning A. The project planning subgroup will meet on Saturday, February 20, 10 am. B. All council members are encouraged to attend and participate.
