We discussed our May project which will be the Flamingo Flock event which will start May 1st. Maddie
Lucente discussed the following details for this project - Deb is working on a spreadsheet of shifts that
members can sign up for. If a member signs up for a shift, they will be expected to move their assigned
flocks every 48 hours for one week, then the responsibility will be passed onto another group of people.
In order to advertise we will post flyers around town, these flyers will be delivered to Flamingo Flock
committee members by April 12th and will be posted on bike paths, billboards, social media platforms
(instagram and snapchat), and popular/public places to get the word out. There is also a QR code on flyers
and lawn signs so people can scan and sign up.,
After this, Tom shared about advertising for the pop-up program that is happening around town which we
have discussed in previous meetings. Tom also shared a survey link for the Inclusive Teen Recreation
Programs which is a quick survey on what teens would be interested in seeing and doing at the
Community Center. Participants of this survey will be entered into a raffle for a $10 starbucks gift card.

Next, Annabel covered the Senior Bus Rally which will not be needed because graduation activities for
LHS Seniors will be happening.
Regina discussed the Flatbread Pizza fundraiser we brought up last meeting. This will be held off until
next year because Flatbread needs 1 month notice and a very large sign painted. We will wait until next
year when it is fully open and the night can be more successful.
Finally, Shannon closed us with a cause members might like to support called Blankets of Hope which
donates blankets and personalized notes to those experiencing homelessness. Members can learn more
and donate to this cause at blanketsofhope.com
This was our final meeting for this school year, see you in September.
Respectfully submitted,
Regina Tashjian - LYC Secretary
