First we reviewed and approved our December meeting minutes. Next, per the archives office request, we
reviewed and approved the November meeting minutes as well.
Katie DeVine spoke about working on the Eyeglass project for the Lions Club in March. We plan for this
event to be split over two Saturdays, 12-3.
Regina recapped the FOLMADs project we did in December. We addressed 1,500 envelopes in an hour.
FOLMADS Board Members and parents were very appreciative and grateful.Thank you!AWESOME Job.
Annabel discussed our February event, giving personalized Valentines cards and carnations to seniors at
local nursing homes. We are planning for about 10 cards per person. Katie, Annabel, and Regina will
distribute the Valentine Kit with instructions to team leaders by the end of January, who will distribute to
teams by February 1st. All Cards are due back by Friday, February 12th.
Tom asked if anyone wanted to join the Community Center/ Recreation Department Meeting to offer
input from students' perspectives. if you are interested please email tom at Tramano0)lexin tonma. .
Tom talked about a Grant the Rec. Department received. They will be offering monthly Pop-up programs
to encourage people to get out and explore Lexington. Please see attached flyer and pass it on.
Regina suggested Revolution Hall, they have a large projector screen, for an outdoor movie drive in.
With Covid restrictions we are unable to do this. We will keep our original idea of a joint collaboration
The Community Center/LYC Drive In for the future once Covid has passed.
Deb wrapped up with our `homework' for our next meeting, to brainstorm ideas for our April, May, and
June events. Our next meeting will be February 11th via Zoom.
Respectfully submitted,
LYC Secretary, Regina Tashjian
