1.Welcome and Approval of January • January minutes approved

2. Disproportionality SPED and Discipline • Topic of conversation at School Committee Meetings
• Disproportionality not particularly high at Harrington
and district
Still work to be done, including what we do before
students are referred for SPED, as well as how we
refer students
• Discussion about Rtl, including use of District
Accommodation Plan which Harrington is helping to
rewrite
• Rtl for Social Emotional Learning Question-Where do
CPI responses fall in this discussion?
o These are data points used when considering
if Tier 2 or Tier 3 supports are needed.
o Harrington is moving towards thinking about
alternative approaches and responses to
behavior
o School wants to make sure every student has
what they need to be successful
o These goals tie into SIP

3. 21 Day Racial Equity Habit Building • Harrington's Diversity Squad has discussed rolling this
Challenge out to the community; could be done every year
Site o Opportunities for discussion and reflection
• Parent Site created
• Will there be work done around other identities?
(socioeconomic status, abilities)
• Aligns with work Town of Lexington Human Rights
Committee is doing to integrate conversations about
race at home
• Site Council watched Day 1 video together ("Black
Self/White World")
o Members encouraged to complete the 21
Day Challenge
o Bring feedback to next meeting

• What roadblocks might exist?

childcare available?
■ Consider METCO families when
planning the timeframe
4. Playground Update • Jackie found some playground information from
years past;can be used at Harrington After Dark
fundraising event on April 3, 2020
5. Speaker system installation update • New sound system installed
• 14 new devices available;will hang a sign saying they
are available
• Ability to have 8 microphones used (4 wireless, 4
lapel type)
6. SIP 2020-21 • Dr. Hackett has it on next Admin. Council agenda
• Site Council will look at this at our April meeting
7. New business: • Blue Ribbon recognition ceremony on May 11, 2020
