HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020-11-30-LEXHAB-min LexHAB Board Meeting November 30,2020-8:00 AM—HELD BY Remote Connection Open to Public Minutes of the meeting held virtually due to COVIID 19 on November r 30, 2020 at 8,00 am Members present were Bob Burbidge, Bill Kennedy, Henry Liu, Les Savage, Bob Phelan, Donna Leary, Martha Wood, Gerry Howell, and Bill Hays. Also present were Pearlene Varjabedian, Housing Director and Karen Iverson, Regina Brown, Financial Administrator, Patricia S. Nelson, counsel to LexHAB. Sue Barry,Selectwoman, Bob Pressman of the Lexington Housing Partnership The Chairman, Bob Burbidge presided. Minutes from the October 30, 2020 meeting were reviewed and accepted as amended. All in favor by Roll Call. POLICY TASK FORCE DANA HOME GRANT reviewed by Henry Liu - Bob Burbidge to write Press Release - Age restrictions discussed—Dana Home does not have any restrictions. Discussion took place regarding this. - Task force will write the policies - Pearlene to move forward in filling the units Christmas trees—Artificial vs Natural • Pearlene Varjabedian circulated the safety reminder to all tenants Grills discussed—Suzie Barry suggested to add Garage or carport to wording Motion to accept Rules and Regulations regarding Grills—All in favor by Roll Call CORI/SORI—changing policy and changing titles to Housing Director. Bob Burbidge to sign off on this Motion to accept CORI Document—All in favor by Roll Call Town Code—not ready yet Web Page—Title to Finance Administrator to be changed—Who maintains the page? SORI Task force to write letter for SORI Sue Barry to remove E Code. FINANCIAL REPORT Gerry Howell reported • Will be done on a Quarterly Basis—next one to be in January • Financial reported to be distributed to Board • Gerry Howell has reviewed the prior financial figures Each quarter there will be a more detailed report • Regina will send out report on Wednesday for review Motion made to accept Treasurers report. Motion approved. —Roll Call PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT FARMVIEW • John Biggins, Lester, and Triumph met and went through items on punch list. Negotiation for$20K adjustment was made. WRIGHT FARM • John ordered appliances—plumbing being worked on • Asphalt paving should take place • Sue Barry inquired about provisions and COVID-19 delays VINE STREET • Public Meeting for Vine Street on December 9, 2020, webinar to take place • Sue Barry indicated there were no other town meetings that evening, and it was very well publicized • LEXMEDIA will cover it live • Posted on Front page of Town website • Bob Burbidge discussed setting agenda for meeting. Committee to meet on December 2, 202 at 7 {M • Sue Barry to send Pat Nelson list of all advertised areas OPERATIONS TASK FORCE • Solar power development will be discussed at next month's meeting • Foundation funding • Endowment campaign Next meeting Wednesday December 30,2020 at 8 AM. EXECUTIVE SESSION The Chair moved to adjourn the Open Session and go into Executive Session to discuss strategy with respect to litigation as an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the litigating position of the Lexington Housing Assistance Board and to discuss tenant matters that if considered in Open Session might adversely affect privacy rights of individuals.
