Approval of minutes for 01/09/20 meeting:
• Approved and seconded.
Approval of minutes for 05/29/20 meeting:
• Approved and seconded.
2020-2021 Board:
• Thank you to the Nominating Committee.It was a big year as all the Executive Board roles are turning over this year.
• While CIT Liaisons are currently Emma and Patricia,those will be under review as it might make sense for the new co-
chairs to take those positions. These are not elected positions.
• Slate motioned to accept the 2020-2021 slate (see attached).
o Approved and seconded.
Parent Survey Update:
• Presentation made to SC in May.
• Were hoping to have a Q&A around the survey with the administration,but that has been tabled in the near-term as
Remote Learning and ESY seem like more pressing issues.
Thank yous:
• A big thank-you to the outgoing office holders,as they have made meaningful impacts.
• Special thank you to Mona Roy,who has been a SC liaison for almost a decade.
Officer reports:
• Treasurer:
o Anticipating a YE balance of $11,000,which significantly higher than prior years. In part this is due to additional
fundraising and the big IAL contribution. Also had low expenses due to cancelled events in the Spring. Ahead of
budget by $1,500.
o Have not met the objective to spend down the balance.
o Will be giving LEF stars as the teacher appreciation to SPED staff and administrators this year given that in-person
gifts aren't possible.
• Membership:
0 133 active members. Membership continues to increase,and hope to continue positive trend next year.
0 Mass PTA has recognized us for our year on year increases.
School Committee Updates:
• SC liaisons were really proud of the survey. There are a lot of stakeholders involved and will work hard to get the
recommendations implemented.
• Right now SC is working on gathering Remote Learning feedback. Thank you to SEPAC for collecting feedback from
members.
