MINUTES The meeting was called to order at 8:00 A.M. by Elizabeth B. Eddison, Vice-chairman. Present were: Cathy Abbott, Susan A. Elberger, Rev. Jed N. Snyder. Also present were: Carol A. Mahoney, Director and Cynthia Johnson, Assistant Director. STAFFIli1G Library Technician —Reopened because the applicants have accepted other positions. Children's Librarian —Interviewing applicant on March 10, 2000. Reference Librarian —At this time have received 18 resumes. Closes March 31. Technology Librarian —Have received 3 resumes to date. Closes March 24. LIBRARY CLOSED The Library will be closed on March 17, 2000 from 9.-00 A.M. to 12:00 A.M for Staff Training. The East Lexington Branch.will be closed until 1:00 P.M. Some of the.areas to be covered are: 1.) the priorities regarding the move and 2.) Interdepartmental meetings. It is expected that the library will be out of the building in November 2000 and open up in Cary Mall in December 2000. TOWN MEETING Rev. Dr. Peter H. Meek and William Dailey, Jr. will be making a presentation to the Town Meeting on behalf of the Library. Susan Elberger moved to close this portion of the Executive Committee meeting to go into Executive Session to discuss the Union negotiations. The Executive committee meeting was called back into session after the Executive Session. Cathy Abbott proposed a "thank you"to Susan Elberger for her years of service on the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees at Cary Memorial Library. This was voted unanimously.
