A quorum of four members was present - Present(Jamie Banks, Nick Afshartous, April Wang, Mark Sandeen, Dan Koretz, Mark McConnell) Jamie gave an update on the DPW workshops to be held last week of April (residential, municipal, and business workshops) Related article in Colonial Times Nick mentioned GWAC as an org for collaboration Discussed identifying lists for email blasts Follen Church * Nick and Jamie to collaborate on outreach George could come to the residential workshop * Jamie to send video done for George to Dan * Dan to contact George * Jamie: Organic soil solutions to add to web list of green contractors * Could have someone from Concord to talk about lawnmower exchange To subsidize exchange they had discount from Home Depot and subsidy from concord electric utility * Mark: Enterprise Bank opening this week and might be interested in helping with landscaper loans to purchase electric * Dan: On recruiting (Judith Glixon said no, Stu Smith is on the table). Need to recruit Mark: in nextdoor app there are threads Mark S: March 10 TM info session Mark S: create task force with 2 + 5 others Dan: Update on meeting with department heads on noise complaints routing Attendees: Jim Kelly (Building Commissioner), Mike McClennan (Police), Kari Sasportas (Health Director), Carol Kowalski (Assistant Town Manager), Tim Flaherty (Assistant Fire Chief) CarieKari: we would like a ticketing system Discussed by-laws Leaf blowers was a hot topic, Tim Flaherty seemed opposed Enforcement issue is a challenge - need to interact with chiefs 45 Lincoln was stressful for small number, leaf blowers affect more Mike reported PD had 160 complaints over last year Dan to have follow-up meeting with Carrie Dan: Requiring that equipment meets standards can be enforced Permitting Montgomery County MD - two persons need to submit complaint to substantiate Current town by-law is not enforceable, unless problem is ongoing because of the difficulty of obtaining an ambient level. Mark: library has lending tools, could borrow noise meter Dan: Belmont has max limit on noise, not just a limit on the increment from ambient levels Dan to present construction article at March 10 TM info session Dan: can we allow non-committee members on Slack ?
