• Valentine Day luncheon has 17 student volunteers
• Stage and Seekers- Rivers School Program to connect student with seniors for 7 week history
project

• No one applied for financial aid $5,000 from Dana Home Grant available for respite
Melissa I nteress-Di rector
• Veteran's Services adding Carlisle to service area, no impact on staffing
Christine Dean-Director Community Center
• 2/25 Community Center Open House includes: Community Center,Visitor's Center, Police, area
providers,teens looking for jobs,volunteer ops, etc.
• 2/10 Registration for summer camp at Community Center
• 2/26 annual Partner's meeting—program advisors share ideas, plan
• 3/2 Registration for spring adult and lifetime programs
• 3/4, 3/5 consultant to do community needs assessment for Recreation, day and focus groups
and public forum
• 2/26 Shifting Gears, DMV presentation on aging, safe driving, parking
• Age Friendly working group
o Met 2/3 to discuss actions to undertake
o Committee members looking at other towns senior parking programs with goal of
recommending senior parking for Lexington; Newton, Waltham,Watertown, Medford,
Maynard

• Camille Goodwin resigned from Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee; Rich McDonough
nominated
Liason Reports
Minuteman Senior Services Gary Fallick leaving Board; all meals on wheels drivers now have formal
report for case managers if concerned about a senior at risk
Ombudsman training for ombuds volunteers, contact MMSS if interested
Transportation-Sudhir Jain mentioned Lexpress bus route change to enhance efficiency
MBTA to design bus lane to Alewife T stop from Route 2
2/13 senior sign up for Ride
1240 Rides monthly for Lexington seniors; 191 single rides, 74 average 4 Rides monthly, Rides can be
late
FCOA-Sudhir Jain notes$13,000 donations received,thank you notes sent
Commission on Disability-Bonnie Teitleman-award given to teen who is living with Tourette's. COD
wrote letter to Selectmen on goals, priorities; streetscape accessibility and safety
Human Services Committee-Betty Borghesani-will go to 5 members meeting 6 times annually;goal:
improving communication

Housing Authority-no update
Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee- Rich McDonough has been invited to apply
Mental Health Task Force-3/20 Julie Hackett meeting at Cary Hall
Vision 20/20 Jyotsna no Kakullavarapu-to change name to Challenges and Opportunities for Lexington,
working with transportation to bring people; Susan Barrett may help
Lexington Center Committee Sandra Shaw- new streetscape to improve safety and accessibility,
bumpout curb cuts, new benches, lighting, add seating and plantings from Spring 2021-fall 2023
