Keith drafted a letter to the Planning Board outlining the need for trail access. Lots of neighbors were present at a recent Planning Board meeting, promoting the need for trailhead parking. The developer will give a legal easement to the homeowners association. • Keith and Susan met with Town Manager Jim Malloy last Monday regarding the Peacock Farm Road easement. A certified letter will be sent to abutters, notifying them that the Town will be installing trail signs. Unless there is an objection from the abutters, we should be able to finalize Route K in the spring. • Peggy, Keith, and Mike walked the Swommonland with Bob Rotberg. It is very wet and prob- ably not an area to focus on for trail development at this time. • 1050 Waltham St project - The property at this location is being redeveloped, and the devel- oper is considering a connector trail that could connect through to Beaver Brook North. Per- haps they would put up funds for surveying the wetland areas in the Concord Ave parcels discussed at the last GCC meeting. Discussion about work needed to move forward with that trail project. Mike and Keith, with Jordan McCarron, will attend a meeting Jan 9 to learn more/discuss. • Conversation about Hartwell Ave Redevelopment Advisory Committee - GCC should have input. Discussion of project and GCC role. Current Business: New Business: • Keith and Mike are working on a report for ConCom about the Brookhaven/Concord Ave trail, to be presented in order to get a better understanding of what the ConCom will want in a per- mit application. • Hoping to get the Community Connector onto the Conservation Dept 5 year priority list in the formal planning process. • Susan has an anonymous donor putting up funds for the new brochure development and printing. She will be away in March, so is hoping to get the work done in January & February. This new brochure will include Routes J and L, and possibly K and M.
