The summer conservation interns are gone now. • Work on the Jefferson Drive (0 Grove St) - Town Manager Jim Malloy will contact Burlington to initiate the survey project, working with Jack Sullivan for North Shore Development. • The Bridge School area boardwalk - Eagle Scout Jack Stevens finished the project on Sep- tember 1. There were some extra materials that will be passed along to another Eagle Scout for the next project. This also means that the trail segment relocation can more forward. There are some good photos from the project that may or may not be good for the brochure. • Fairland St project - the Special Permit was approved by the Planning Board, but a neighbor has appealed the decision. At the hearing, Susan spoke in support of the trail in the project. The DPW thinks the proposed trail is too steep. If the project is finally approved, the devel- oper will do the trail building and the condo association will be responsible for maintenance. This led to discussion of ongoing maintenance for ACROSS Routes and the Town's ability and willingness to fund. GCC should encourage the Conservation Dept to keep a good trail maintenance budget. • A Winchester resident emailed the GCC - Bob reached out and had no response. • The DCR trails conference is Oct 31-Nov 2. Keith is planning to attend. It has been enlight- ening in the past. Current Business: • PIR (program improvement request) review - A total of $9000 - $5000 for brochure, $500 for updating the app, $2500 for surveying expenses, $500 for permit filing fees, $500 for trail marking signs. Keith has been in touch with Carol Kowalski to put this together. Mark Sandeen suggested presenting an update to the Select Board - it has been over a year. Su- san and Eileen will work on a presentation with Keith. • Route L - Bob and Eileen worked out a spreadsheet for the posts needed. All posts are now in, and sign installation is in the works. Should be finished by next GCC meeting. • Hayden/Dunback Route, connecting to Route H - the route across the Bowman School prop- erty has been settled. The Hayden Ave access workday is scheduled for October 19. Check it out for the next meeting (Oct 17). • Peacock Farm Rd access - stalled at the Town administrative level. Will be included in presentation to Select Board. GCC recommends marking trail as is. (This is the last bit needed to complete Route K). New Business: • Report on Swommonland (Peggy) - postpone til next meeting • Recreation Committee liaison - We need a new one; Keith will email Chair Rick DeAngelis. •West Lexington Greenway recap (Peggy).
