HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-11-06-PB-min PLANNING BOARD MINUTES MEETING OF NOVEMBER 6, 2019 A meeting of the Lexington Planning Board, held in the Parker Room, in the Town Office Building was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chair Bob Creech with members Ginna Johnson, Charles Hornig, Robert Peters and planning staff Eve Tapper present. Richard Canale joined the meeting in progress at 7:22 p.m. **********************DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION*********************** Restrict Automatic Teller Machine use in the CB District, Discuss and Approve Report For Special Town Meeting: The Board discussed changes to a draft Planning Board Report on Article 6 to Town Meeting. All of the members expressed various opinions on how to make sure the report accurately described the purpose and efficacy of Article 6. On a motion of Mr. Hornig, seconded by Mr. Canale, it was voted, 5-0, to approve the Planning Board’s report on Article 6 to Special Town Meeting as amended. *************************BOARD ADMINISTRATION**************************** Hartwell Avenue Zoning Initiative Discussion: Board members discussed the pros and cons of housing options for Hartwell Avenue as well as statewide programs that may provide incentives for a mixed-use environment in the area. They also mentioned how the 25% design funding for Hartwell Avenue as requested in Article 8 is related to the zoning initiative. Schedule: The next meeting for the Planning Board is Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parker Room at Town Hall. If needed, the Board is also scheduled to meet on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 before the second night of Special Town Meeting. Board Member and Staff Updates: Ms. Tapper told the Board that the public hearing on the Cotting School construction project th would be postponed from to December 4 at the request of the applicant. On a motion, duly made and seconded, it was voted to adjourn the meeting at 8:59 p.m. LexMedia began recording the meeting in progress at 7:20pm. Robert Peters, Clerk
