HomeMy WebLinkAbout2192.2 Return of J. M. Colburn and Abel Wyman concerning the above stray horse, June 29, 1843[L.S.] To Messrs. James M. Colburn and Abel Wyman two disinterested and Judicious persons both of the town of Lexington in the County of Middlesex; you are hereby appointed & empowered to appraise upon oath at the true value thereof in money, according to you best Judgement a Horse found and taken up by G. C. Fields of said Lexington on the 19th day of June 1843 who was entered and posted the same as the law directs, and you are to make return of this warrant with your doings thereon to the town Clerk of said Lexington with in seven days from the date hereof, Given under my hand & Seal this twenty ninth day of June one thousand eight hundred and forty three, John Mulliken Town Clerk of Lexington ___ Personally appeared the above named James M. Colburn & Abel Wyman & made oath that they will appraise said Horse according to their best Judgement. Before me John Mulliken Town Clerk We the subscribers the above named have attended to the duty assigned us by the above warrant & have appraised said Horse at $30,00. Lexington June 29th 1843 J. M.
