• Good feedback on the transition with administration
• Brian and Chris are trying to get into classrooms
• Chris has been doing walk throughs with Kathy McCarthy
• 9/25 is Admin Council meeting- 5th grade camping trip and Halloween are
on the agenda
• 5th grade will be doing 2 day trips instead of overnight- one to Thompson
Island in the Spring and one to Project Adventure in the Fall
• Back to School Night:
0 6-6:30 Grades K-2
0 6:30-7:00 Specialists in the gym
0 7:00-7:30 Grades 3-5
• Specialists and Special Ed teachers? How to not label them as being for
students on IEPs (Brian and Sara to talk)
• Brian recommended for teachers to share their Powerpoints with parents to
help with time
• PTO- Food Drive at Back to School Night; Fiske is being asked to bring in
Mac and Cheese
• Halloween- Some schools are doing a Fall celebration with no costumes
(some with fall colors)
• Parent members asked to have updates on areas of progress instead of the
whole SIP
• They view Site Council as a time to give a heads up from parents
• Kate, Eileen and Jeanine would like to better understand the measurability
of the goals
