We submit the following proposal for a first-class Hot-Air Heating Apparatus for
the monn. Hall, T_exingtr)n.

with galvanized smoke-pipe and check-damper, complete, with pipes and
registers and stone borders, as follows:—
These registers to be the best black. All registers in floors to be provided with nettings of
galvanized wire. Where vertical pipes are placed in partitions, the woodwork to be protected
with tin. All pipes to be provided with dampers in the basement.
THIS APPARATUS will be furnished and set complete, in working order, including
shovel and poker, with w ,.@ptiop of tke mason's and carpenter's work and material, for
the sum of three hundred and fi fty-one dollars ($351. 00)
payable upon completion of our work.
The owner is to provide an adequate and properly-constructed chimney flue. Any
changes in the chimney required by law, or to secure a proper draft, are to be made at his
expense. The owner is also to provide suitable spaces for the hot-air pipes, of proper size
and location, in accordance with our instructions.
Each room which is intended to be thoroughly warmed should have a suitable exit flue
or opening for ventilation, provided by the owner.
A cold-air box is necessary for the proper operation of this furnace. It is to be pro-
vided by the owner, of size to be specified by us, and located in accordance with our
instructions.
In case of fire, strikes or other occurrences beyond our control, we shall not be held to a
fulfillment of our contract. This proposal remains open for acceptance for thirty days from
date, unless sooner withdrawn.
