Dear Sir, -
Can you recommend to us some Physician in your town whom we
could employ to regularly look after the laborers, who are and will
be employed in the construction of our basin at Hobbs Brook with
special reference to destroying any pollution that would naturally
get into the Brook in connection with their being so near to it, and
also to report any cases of sickness that might be among the men so as
to see that no contagious disease could in any way affect this?
This is only a precautionary matter, of course, but we think it desirable
to take all measures possible to protect the purity of the
water. I suppose if a Physician once a week went around and made
a report to the Water Board as to the condition of affairs, and also
made any suggestions that were necessary in connection with this
matter, it would be all that would be needed.
