HomeMy WebLinkAbout2955 Minutes and original motions (handwritten) of the Town Meeting of March 4, 1899[Archivist's note: This document has been superseded by the official minutes of the March 4, 1889 meeting.] Meeting Mch 4 1889 Meeting called to order by Town Clerk at time specified and warrant read by Town Clerk and Voted that ballot [?] supp [?] open [illegible] 9.20 on ballot [?] with use of Clerk first and Robert P Clapp was unanimously chosen and sworn by Clerk. Art 3. 4. & 11 see motion Art 23. See motion of Mr. Raymond. Mr Bennik moved that the question of dividend and in Mr. Bemorton & Mr Raymond in form of demding (crossed out) not a vote (crossed out) 60 app 82 no Mr. Scott objected that under ok vote no discussion could be had but the Moderator devdn [?] that discussion was in order and Mr. Scott madde some remarks saying that the management of this library was under the corporation and that the library much be managed by the Corpent [?] and the term [?] harmonously and the otr [?] amendment could be voted on at any meeting and said that the question [illegible] be decided today was whether we should have a new library or not and of the management under dr [?] Corporation was not satisfactation then would no doubt that the act could be changed Mr. Raymond replied M C M Parter.
