The foregoing changes are hereby approved as represented and
described, and this day ordered to be attached to the contract.
All claims for extension of time within which to complete the
building, based upon alterations , changes and additions already
ordered (including those embraced herein) are hereby adjusted amd
agreed to as entitling the contractor to twenty-two days, and only
twenty-two days. beyond August 15, 19029 i. e. to Sept. 6. 1902; it
being the intent hereof to provide that all parts of the work
heretofore and now respectively contracted for shall be completed,
not later than said sixth day of September, and that the fifty
dollars ($60) per day liquidated dwwages stipulated in the inain
contract shall accrue as to each and every day, if any, beyond
September 6, on which eiV of said work shall remain uncom-
pleted. As a part of this provision as to extension of time, it
is mutually agreed that the deliveries of kiln-dried finish shall
be withheld until Thursday, J,%.Ily 31st current, and that the work
of putting such finish in place (to be suspended until then) may
be begun on Said Thursday and prosecuted without interruption
thereafter. In case the Architects or Committee should order any
further suspension of the work, the Contractor shall be entitled
to an extension of time beyond said sixth day of September, for
such nimber of days as the Architects hall Mudge ax?d certify
to be reasonable.
The Contractor hereby acknowledges the receipt of the speci-
fications and drawings representing and describing the above men-
tioned alterations, charges and additions.
