THAT We Samuel R Duren Warren Duren, William
Duren, Abraham Duren cordwaners and Lydia Kendal all of Woburn
in the County of Middlesex and Commonwealth of Massachusetts
in Consideration of twenty-six dollars and 50/100
paid us by the Town of Lexington, County, and Commonwealth
afforesaid
the Receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge, do hereby give, grant, sell, and convey unto the
said Town of Lexington and their assigns forever one certain
piece of land situated in Lexington containing twenty-six and
a half rod by estimation more or less being a part of the
Brown lot so calld beginning at the southeasterly corner
by the land of Col Phillip Russell thence a westerly line
by our other land to the old Town road to a point as the
fence now stand there an easterly course bounded partly
on the old Town road and partly on the new road
which the County Commissioners lately laid out
to a point to the first
mentioned bound with all the privelidges and appertenances
thereto belonging
To HAVE AND TO HOLD the afore-granted Premises to the said Town of
Lexington and their Assigns, to there Use and Behoof forever.
AND we for ourselves our heirs, executors, and administrators, do covenant with the
said Town of Lexington their
Heirs and Assigns, That we are lawfully seized in Fee of the afore-granted Premises; That
they are free of all Incumbrances ;
That we have good Right to sell and convey the same to the said Town of Lexington
AND that we will, and our heirs, executors, and administrators, shall warrant and
defend the same Premises, to the said Town of Lexington their
Heirs and Assigns forever, against the lawful Claims and Demands of all Persons.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, we the said Samuel K Duren and
Sybel my wife in token of her relinquing [relinquishing] of her right of
Dower, Warren Duren, William Duren, Abraham Duren and
Lydia Kendal
have hereunto set our Hands and Seals this fourth Day
of may in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty
three
