additional appurtenances and equipments, if any, are needed for
the use of the Fire Dept., also to consider the eed of a stram
gong of whistle for the use of the Fire Dept. and Schools, beg
to recommend that the Town purchase a steam gong for announcing
"No school" and for giving alarms of fire, provided a suitable
one can be bought and fitted at a cost not exceeding $50., and
provided the Lexington Water Co. are willing to have said gong
attached to the boilers of the pumping station and o blow it
free of charge.
In the matter of considering the needs of the Fire Dept.,
the committee ask for further time.
