TOWN MANAGER REPORT
1. Town Manager Weekly Update
Ms. Axtell stated that the MOU for the firefighters’ contract is before the Board for consideration this
morning. She noted that, through the Joint Labor Management Committee (JLMC) mediation process,
Town leadership and the firefighters were able to reach a mutually agreeable resolution. She
acknowledged the significant collaboration and good-faith efforts of everyone involved in reaching the
agreement. The agreement brings firefighter compensation to the 75th market percentile, consistent with
the compensation goal established by the Select Board. The Union has voted to ratify the agreement, and
the Board is asked to vote favorably to approve the MOU.
